So I've done my research and found out what room we have in the ship. Then I counted back from the back how many rooms and then on the picture I counted the number of LITTLE windows and TaDa...here's where Avery, JoeDel and I will reside for 7 nights while on our paradise vacation.
Take that back, thats where Avery and i will reside. JoeDel will be just 3 floors up at the Tahiti Casino. :)
I'm taking the laptop to be able to download pictures and for just $55.00 (OUCH) I can buy an hour or so of internet so maybe, just maybe I will be posting from this magnificant sea creature. We'll see how much JoeDel wins in the above named casino.
Have a great week ya'll. We're headed to Galveston tomorrow morning then will board the ship around noon on Sunday.

Anxious with a little bit of anxiety
Hard to believe this time next week I will be enjoying paradise once again - Jamaica baby!!!!
As I prepare for this trip I am very excited, but I am a little nervous also. Getting ready to travel to this beautiful tropical destination brings back so many memories for me....many good ones, but of course some very sad ones too. Just over 2 years ago, I was so looking forward to going to Jamaica as we made the venture the day after our wedding to KC. We all know the rest of this story. I am hoping that the trip this time isn't marred with tears and hurt as was the plane ride two years ago. Thankfully we are taking a BOAT this time and no airplane. The feeling of looking at that window when I was on that plane was something I really want to feel again. Yes it was beautiful, but it was the day following Ian's death and I couldnt help but think about here I was so close to him in the sky, but I was going to go back to land in just a few hours and he would forever be in the heavens. As I think back about that now, i think about how he was just starting his journey walking along side Jesus. Here I was so sad that I couldn't bring him back down with me when I really know that he wouldnt have wanted to come anyway. Yes, of course, there are reasons why he would have I know....but yet he was WALKING ALONGSIDE JESUS...something we all look forward to. I guess that is probably the hardest thing for me to comprehend in all of this. Yes I want to walk alongside Jesus...but at the sake of no longer being there for Avery? I guess that's just something that only God can understand. He truly is an amazing God with the power to heal broken hearts and lives.
Ok, I gotta stop that. I never meant for this post to be all sad. Sorry. I am looking forward to the cruise and spending time with my husband, my baby girl, my mom, my other mom, my brother, sister in law, my fabulous nieces Beth and Jessica, my other sister in law and my nephews Kyle and Travis that I havent seen nearly enough....and a cousin-in law and her hubby. Ok, now I'm sad again. I look back over that list and I think how perfect this is - if only my dad could come too. it would be the dream trip for him - all of his kids (minus mike the putz and of course his step sons preiss and morgan)....all of his grandkids....and his two favorite wives. :) haha.
So we had a blast at the lake this weekend, but I never did get the camera out. Our boat has a hole in one of the pontoons but hopefully it is just a minor detail and we can get it fixed up soon.
I'll leave you with some pics of our sleepover last Wed. night with Cousin Ryan. Avery loves her cousin so much!!!!

Checking In...
Just writing from the lake to say hello! Havent taken any pics yet to post but will try to tomorrow. Val came down to spend the weekend with us. It has been fun to catch up with her, for sure. We did take the boat out for awhile today...the water was really rough. We had a bad storm here this morning. I was pretty scared considering a) i am a freak in storms and b) here we were in a metal camper.
Anyway, hope you guys are all having a wonderful weekend.
Tara, Val and I took a little drive down to monkey island this morning before we went into town. We drove by Island Joes...It looks so fun! I was hoping to get JoeDel to take us there tonight but we had burgers here instead. Maybe tomorrow. Was fun to actually "see" it though after seeing all the marketing pieces you have been doing!!!!!

Why I love this guy
Note the OU shirt. :) Who would have thought so many years ago when I met JoeDon that someday I'd have my very own JoeDel, also a fan of OU.
***NOTE*** I swiped this article from some girls blog. I obviously had not part of writing the article, sorry for the confusion.
Sheila Stogsdill, who has been covering the aftermath of the Picher tornado for The Oklahoman, and I (the girl I swiped the article from) wrote this story about Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts returning to his hometown of Picher in the wake of last weekend’s twister. It’s an expanded version of the story that ran in The Oklahoman today.
Country artist surveys former home
PICHER - Joe Don Rooney was 19 years old when he left his boyhood home in Picher for Nashville, Tenn.
The country music star returned to his hometown Tuesday, but there’s no going back to the house where he grew up.
“It’s basically demolished,” Rooney said in an interview Wednesday.
Rooney, guitarist for hitmaking country trio Rascal Flatts, came back to Picher to volunteer with the American Red Cross, which is helping out in the aftermath of Saturday’s devastating tornado. The EF-4 twister caused seven deaths, at least 150 injuries and destroyed 114 homes.
His reaction when he surveyed the remains of his hometown: “Wow.”
“I have seen a lot of pictures (of the destruction),” Rooney said Wednesday. “It looks like a war zone. It’s under such horrible circumstances to be back home.”
“Bad ending to a sad story”
Rooney, 32, tried to emotionally prepare as he drove down Francis Street, but the sight of mass destruction left him numb.
When he got to the house his parents bought in 1975, just months before he was born, he found all the windows were blown out. Chat from the mountainous chat piles that surround the community are now embedded in the sheetrock.
Everything south of his childhood home “is history.”
Since he got into town, Picher’s most famous son has been comforting and talking with family and old friends as he walks though broken glass and debris.
“I think it’s a bad ending to a sad story,” he said. “In a weird way, it’s like God is just trying to help out (the buyout).”
Since 2006, the town has been under a federal buyout program, which pays willing residents to relocate from the town polluted by decades of lead and zinc mining.
If the tornado had hit Picher five years ago, hundreds of people would have lost their lives, he said.
“The problem is now fixed sooner rather than later,” said Rooney, who has watched the slow fade of his hometown from afar.
On Tuesday, state and federal officials toured the area, visited with displaced residents and said no government funds will be used to rebuild Picher.
“They looked everyone they talked to in the eye - they really listened to the people,” Rooney said.
While his brother, Mike, still lives on the north side of Picher, several of Rooney’s relatives have participated in the buyout. His parents moved to Baxter Springs, Kan., after their home was bought out last summer, and his sister, Robin, recently moved to Quapaw after her house was bought out. Another sister, Kelly, lives in Nashville.
None of Rooney’s family was hurt in the twister, but a good friend, Jack Kelley, and his son, Brandon, were injured. Kelley’s wife, Mistie, was killed.
“We went to high school together and played sports together,” Rooney said of Jack Kelley.
Rooney graduated from Picher High School in 1994 with 25 other classmates.
“In a small town, everyone knows everyone and it’s a family,” Rooney said.
He said the first thing he noticed after the destruction was how the people are all working together. There are no hard feelings between anyone - the one bright spot in all of the destruction.
Helping out
Along with notching No. 1 hits and platinum album sales, Rascal Flatts has become known for its philanthropic efforts, particularly on behalf of the American Red Cross, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, a Nashville, Tenn., a nonprofit research and teaching hospital.
“I have learned a lot about relief efforts through the Red Cross,” said Rooney, who was wearing a Red Cross vest Tuesday as he toured the remains of the town.
He and bandmates Jay DeMarcus and Gary LeVox have been part of the American Red Cross National Celebrity Cabinet since 2004. The group prominently featured a Red Cross worker, along with other everyday heroes, in its video “Every Day,” which debuted last month.
Along with volunteering with the Red Cross in Picher, Rooney said he made a personal donation and the group wired money for the relief efforts earlier this week.
In addition, the band is turning its scheduled Sept. 25 concert at Tulsa’s new BOK Center into a fundraiser, with a majority of proceeds from the show going to tornado relief efforts through the Red Cross.
Rascal Flatts will receive Sunday night the 2008 Academy of Country Music/The Home Depot Humanitarian Award. The award will be presented at the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, which will air live from Las Vegas at 7 p.m. Sunday on CBS.
The band also is nominated for the entertainer of the year and vocal group of the year awards at Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards.

Happy Mothers Day, a few late...
Well I am not hiding out, I just haven't done anything too exciting lately. Between trying to prepare for this cruise, trying to get the reunion organized, working, running my house and selling bows...things have been pretty crazy.
The tornados this week freaked me the heck out. We made a mad dash to the lake on Sat night b/c of a "dock emergency" and on the way home we came back the way of the tornados. Of course we couldn't get close to Picher, but we did go on a road about a mile west of there. We drove right through where the tornados went through and could see the path leading straight to Picher. I found some photos online and was happy to see that JoeDons parents house was still in tact. They had already moved out, however. So its going to get torn down soon enough anyway. I did read in the paper today that JoeDon is in town helping as a Red Cross volunteer. Kudos.
Sunday was supposed to be spent taking mom to breakfast in Joplin. However, due to the above mentioned dock emergency, our plans were changed. We did have lunch out at moms then drove down to the Cemetary to put some flowers on Grandma. It was a nice day, then we went to Marys for supper.
Happy late Mothers Day to all you moms out there. Thanks for being such great examples to me! And to my mom, Thank You for everything you've done and still do for me every single day. Thank you for being the best mom and the best friend I could ever, ever dream of.
